Singapore – The Lion City ๐Ÿ’–

Singapore unlocked. One of my many dream places i want to explore. We booked our flight Mnl-Sin-Mnl via Cebu Pacific. So the excitement begins here:

Day 1 – Woke up early for our 5:30Am flight to Singapore. Once arrived at Naia T3, we paid the travel tax, check in luggage, get the boarding pass and pass the immigration which done it smoothly. Already at the gate to wait for the boarding announcement.

Were already on board and just waiting to leave.

Travel time from Manila to Singapore is around 3 1/2 hrs.

Looked at the vessels.

Hello there SG!

Touchdown SG!!

We passed the SG immigration, get our luggage and we proceed to the MRT that will bring us to Bugis Station where our Hotel is located.

Me while waiting for the train.

Thumbs up for the train transport in SG. Remember to buy first the ticket or the EZ Link card on the counter as you will going to use this on your whole trip. Ours, we really use it coz almost all the attraction is reachable by train.

Bugis area

Once arrived at Bugis station, we go directly to the Hotel. Good thing, it is within reach by foot, around 5 minutes walked. By the way, we stayed at Hotel Nuve. The hotel is nice, the receptionist is really approachable. He even allow us to check in early without additional cost. They also have free water plus some snacks on the jar. The room is small but enough space for two person. We take a rest for a while before we start our adventure.

After our nap, we start our DIY tour. I’m the one who do the research on what, where are we going. We went to Bugis Station and go to the train that will bring us to Marina Bay station

See that??

We drop off at Marina Bay station and we asked a lady guard/ police how to go the Merlion statue. Singaporeans are approachable. They are willing to help you to point out the way.

We walked:

The Fullerton Hotel

And walked,

And walked,

Esplanade. โœŒ

And walked,

And rest..

Until we reach the Merlion Statue.

Finally, after a looooonnnggg walk. Hello there! Nice to meet yaaaah!

We took photos, every side of it. Hahaha. And we walked AGAIN!!

The Helix Bridge.

After the Helix Bridge, we stayed at the Marina Bay Mall to refresh ourselves because its really hot outside. After an hour of staying at the mall, we decided to go out and look for the way going to the Gardens by the Bay.

The Flower dome.

We sat on the bench there, eat some snacks, photo ops, watched people back and forth. We enjoy the place but we were so tired then and decided to go home.

Sunset in Singapore is late, that’s why, up to that time, surroundings is still bright. Photo taken at 6:45PM.

Had an early dinner and rest for the whole night to regain our energy.

–2nd day–

We woke up a little late, i still feel tired from yesterday but i need to get ready for the tour today. We’re going to Botanical Garden but when we are approaching to Botanical Garden Station, the rain fell.

Brunch for the 2nd day.

Bugis station

Reloaded our EZ Link card.

So, even there is still a light rain, we decided to go ahead to the garden.

After some photo, we went back to the station going to Orchard.

At the Orchard Rd, we bought pasalubong like tshirts, chocolates and keychain. My body is still tired and asked my buddy to go home to take a whole rest. We just ate at Burger King at Bugis for our dinner.

Bugis at night.
